Last Thursday night's duty crew responded to several motor vehicle collisions (MVC) in our first due. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured but our volunteers transported more than one person to a local hospital.
At one MVC, a significant amount of potentially harmful fuels and motor vehicle fluids spilled onto the roadway, requiring seven large bags of dry adsorbent to recover the liquids and prevent environmental contamination. Hazard mitigation is only one of many services our volunteers perform everyday.
While we're always there for you, we would rather see you at any of our public events than at an MVC. Please drive safely!
