By Safety & Logistics Captain Fred McEvilly
April 26, 2015

At around 2145 on Friday April 24th E511B and A511 were dispatched for a BLS MVC on Wichita Ct. Units arrived in the parking lot to find a vehicle that had driven through a fence and down a hill into a back yard of a Townhouse on Barbados Ln. The vehicle had hit the deck of the middle of the row Townhouse causing structural damage. E511B’s officer (Captain McEvilly) established Wichita command and requested an alternate incident channel, Building Inspector and a collapse response. A511's crew checked for injuries among the occupants of the vehicle who had self-extricated prior to Co 511 units arrival. Crew members from E511B checked for injuries of the occupants of the townhouse. No injuries were found on the scene, and Co 511 units secured the scene until arrival for the collapse unit. Once R504 arrived command conferred with the officer on R504, and the determination was made to hold with E511B, R504, CL504 (C-shift). E511B’s crew assisted CL504 crew in shoring the deck. Building Inspector arrived and approved the removal of the vehicle. Units cleared at 0015, and turned the scene over the Building Inspector and PWCPD.

Units: E511B, A511, R504, CL504 ( C-Shift)
